I believe that the role of Marketing is to help the organisation adapt to the ever changing needs and wants of its core audiences, particularly its customers. Profound marketing and customer insight is but the start of the process that extends to developing the right offers, the right policies to effect those offers and continual learning from customers. In today's world, at scale, this requires technology, and new competencies.
